Resources for Advisors

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website! I hope that you will find everything you need right here. Working together, we can ensure that the students graduate on time and still have the opportunity to take core classes abroad. If you should ever have any questions, please always feel free to contact me!

Sincerely,

Jennifer L. Quesenberry
Study Abroad Coordinator

When do students go abroad?

Students may go abroad either sophomore or junior year. As far as WHEN to go during that time period is up to you, their advisor. Any major should have the opportunity to study abroad if the student plans ahead. Students will apply in my office the semester before they wish to go abroad. We help them with absolutely everything!

Where can they go?

The Office of International Services now has 14 SLU-approved programs and the list is constantly growing! We strive to give students a selection of quality programs in amazing locations. If a student prefers to study in a location NOT on this list—no problem! But there are two important points to note: 1.They can not take their SLU scholarships with them and 2. Grades will not transfer back but credits might—the student’s advisor and Dean will need to approve the courses. I will help the students throughout the entire process regardless of where they go!
