Frankfurt Study Center
Goethe
University is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It
has 36,000 students currently enrolled, of which 4,400 are
non-Germans coming from over 90 different countries. The
University has 13 main departments/schools from which
students will find a large variety of courses. However, the
course of studies is more geared towards students from the
College of Arts and Sciences.
Goethe University offers both
an intensive German language course for non-German speakers,
as well as normal courses in German for those with a high
skill level.
Courses Available
All type of courses, taught in
German, are available in this program. However, due to the
German educational system, courses are not available until the
student has arrived in Frankfurt.
Housing
Students may live in
the dormitories, but space is limited. If living in the
dormitories is not an option, a counselor will do their best to
find private accommodations for you.
Program Fees
The total cost of tuition is $13,125 per semester for the 2007-2008 academic year.
While the Study Abroad office will help you with the setup
of your room and board logistics, these are paid directly to
Goethe University. All SLU financial aid and scholarships, with the exception
of those geared specifically towards housing, will go with the
student.
In addition, a mandatory $250 international insurance fee per
semester will be added to the student's account.

Requirements
In order to obtain admission, which is not guaranteed, a student
must meet the following requirement(s):
- Graduate Student
- Competitive GPA
- Proficient in German
- Not be in academic or
disciplinary probation
